GEOGRAPHY
Distance by road: Not accessible by road. Building an airstrip in the hope planes will land in the future. Walking tracks access Yomum, Hapseim, Yangkok and Mupun.

Rivers: A fair distance 40 minutes away

Terrain: Ridgetop on the other side of Yomum. Fairly flat at the village

Elevation: 892 meters above sea level

 

SOCIAL ISSUES
No road access to get supplies.

Very low protein supplies in village.

Water is difficult to access

Are in the process of building an air strip

 

ECONOMIC ACTIVITY
Cash Crops: Coffee, Vanilla, Cocoa, Catamoun (spice) but hard to sell. Carry it to Fatima or Yangkok both at least half a days walk away.

Other sources: women sell food at the Yomoum market.
